What is Rosacea?
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition characterized by facial redness, visible blood vessels, and sometimes small, red bumps. It often flares up due to triggers like heat, alcohol, or stress, causing discomfort and cosmetic concerns. Over time, rosacea can worsen, affecting the skin's appearance and requiring careful management.
-

Erythematotelangiectatic
A persistent type of rosacea that causes facial redness and visible blood vessels. Symptoms can come and go unexpectedly.
-

Papulopustular
Also known as acne rosacea, this type causes pimples filled with pus or fluid, swelling, and breakouts.
-

Phymatous
A rarer type of rosacea that causes the skin to thicken and swell, often on the nose. This can make the nose appear bulbous, a condition called rhinophyma.
-

Ocular
This type of rosacea affects the eyes, causing irritation, bloodshot appearance, watering, sensitivity to light, and styes along the eyelids.
Proven Results
Vascular laser treatment can reduce visible redness and broken capillaries with minimal downtime. Results vary by rosacea subtype and skin type.

We work with the right technology, not just the available one.
How we treat facial redness
Vascular laser — can selectively target visible blood vessels while minimizing unnecessary treatment of the surrounding skin. May be considered for telangiectasia, broken capillaries and visible facial vessels.
IPL / BBL-type vascular light — broad-spectrum light used for selected superficial vascular redness and widespread facial redness. May be considered when redness is diffuse, superficial or widespread.
Long-pulse 1064 nm Nd:YAG — a longer wavelength that can reach deeper vascular structures. May be considered for deeper or larger vessels and particular vascular patterns. Treatment parameters are customized to your skin type and vascular concern.
Different wavelengths. Different targets.
The technology is only part of the decision. We also consider your skin type, the depth and appearance of the vessels, the distribution of redness, your sensitivity, your previous treatments, and your goals.
You don’t need to arrive knowing which laser or light treatment you need. That’s what the consultation is for.

Why we take a careful approach to rosacea
Rosacea-prone skin can be unpredictable. You may already know that aggressive treatment isn't necessarily better. Those concerns matter.
01 — CONTROLLED TREATMENT
Parameters are selected according to your individual skin and vascular concern.
02 — APPROPRIATE INTERVALS
Your skin needs time to respond between treatments.
03 — SKIN-BARRIER SUPPORT
Sensitive skin requires attention before and after treatment, not just during the procedure.
04 — INDIVIDUALIZED PARAMETERS
There is no single setting that works for every skin type or every vascular pattern.
You don’t need to know which treatment you need.
You don't need to choose between IPL / BBL, vascular laser, long-pulse Nd:YAG, or skincare on your own. Start with a consultation. We'll assess your redness, visible vessels, skin type and treatment history and help determine whether your concerns are appropriate for cosmetic treatment.
Your skin. Your concerns. Your treatment plan.
FAQs
-
The best type of laser for treating rosacea depends on the specific symptoms you're experiencing (e.g., redness, visible blood vessels, or thickened skin), the severity of the condition, and skin type. However, the most effective lasers for erythematotelangiectatic rosacea (ETR), which is characterized by redness and visible blood vessels, are generally vascular lasers. These target the blood vessels under the skin to reduce redness and the appearance of visible capillaries.
-
Most patients experience some redness and swelling for a few days after the procedure, and full healing may take 1-2 weeks.
-
Sun Protection: After laser treatments, your skin may be more sensitive to the sun. It’s crucial to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily.
Avoiding Rosacea Triggers: To maintain results, continue to avoid triggers like alcohol, hot beverages, spicy foods, and extreme temperatures.
Moisturize: Keep the skin moisturized to help reduce any dryness or irritation after treatment.
-
Currently, there is no permanent cure for rosacea, as it is a chronic condition that tends to flare up and subside over time. However, there are several ways to manage and control rosacea symptoms effectively, significantly improving the appearance of the skin and reducing flare-ups. Treatment can help keep rosacea under control for long periods, sometimes even indefinitely if managed well.
